Brompton folding pedal bearings

How is the replaced bearing held in your pedals? I’m worried about having to file down that lip, because after that, only friction or pressure keeps the bearing in place under the load of the pedal. I can’t imagine it wouldn’t start coming out after some time.

Both options work. Brompton's official line is that the bearing isn't serviceable, but plenty of people do it. You'd file off the retaining lip, tap out the old 62032RS, and press in a new one—a couple hours if you're careful. If that sounds annoying, just buy a replacement pedal instead. They're usually under £30, and most LBS have them in stock.
