Brompton pedals change

Having mashed both my Brompton pedals in the space of three days, one after the other, by taking corners too fast (crikey the clearance is tight, I wasn't going that fast), the time has come to swap to SPDs, as they are more compact and will bring the bike in line with my other one.
Does anyone know what specialist tool is needed to get the LH pedal off, as a standard socket spanner will not fit the recessed bolt. I can't find anything on the Brompton w/site that would help?

I had no problem getting mine off, but I can't remember how I did it now.....oh yes I had a wrench set that fitted that great big nut that you access by folding the pedal (from memory). My wrench set is standard, so not sure why yours doesn't fit. If it doesn't you'll need to borrow one or ask a bike shop for assistance.
