Very nice!

Where is that sculpture located? I'm sure that I've seen it but I can't remember where. Is it near Crown Point by any chance?

PS It's okay, I Googled for it. I like the idea of a sculpture that plays musical notes in the wind!

I've also seen the Atom panopticon at Wycoller.

i have a headcam video with audio. it sounds pretty spooky and loud. the notes change as you walk around it. it is pretty cool. i have cycled past it absolutely hundreds of times and never thought to have a closer look. more fool me as it has a nice picnic area next to it.

ps

it's called 'the singing tree', very apt i think

Nice pic Shaun, is it far from the road to the tree?

Maybe Colin could lead a ride there next year ;)

I rode up there with Alun, Svendo and Bokonon in mid-October and saw the sculpture from the road, but didn't know what it was. It's only about 35 minutes ride from Todmorden.

it is known, i think, as a panopticon. that green bubble thing at wycollar country park is another one.there are a few of them. perhaps a cycle tour of the panopticons in the summer?

actually not a bad idea, there is only four and all reasonably local and in pretty places. the one near me in haslingden is up a real bugger of a climb
