Brooks bar tape

Is there anything you can do to clean Brooks leather bar tape?Mine has been on the bike for nearly 2 years and is now looking a wee bit grubby..any suggestions to spruce them up a bit? Cheers

I have dabbed on a bit of Proofhide. It seems to tidy it up reasonably well.

dubbin on mine (but not on the saddle)

the black tape seems to fade really badly, in a way the honey tape doesn't and I've used anti-scuff shoe polish, which has some sort of dye in it, to spruce up the faded bits.
