I read an article years ago (84-85) in cycling world, I'll never forget it, There was this old boy called Jack Cockett from Stockbury nr Maidstone, kent and I think he was about 82 at the time, but he had a problem! he had had a brooks for Y E A R S , but alas the leather had pulled away from the rivets, and was asking advice wheather or not to have it fixed or buy a new one (aged 82!) the problem was ............ he was off on a tour or Norway in a month or so and didnt want to be too uncomfortable! god bless 'im where ever 'e may be!
