Red sauce is for kids that don't like kittens

Neither red or brown sauce ... but I won't say no to a slice of bacon ... especially served up with potato bread .... now we are talking ... only thing is the shops are shut and the only bit of that I have in the house are eggs:cry:

Actually I like Aldi tomato ketchup on cheese on toast and mustard and tomato on IKEA hot-dogs.

Corn Fed Hick...
I've never had a fried egg sandwich

Here's the recipe:

Per sarnie

1 egg
2 slices of bread
Butter for the bread
Salt and pepper to taste

Fry the egg, put it on one slice of buttered bread, salt and pepper, slap another slice of buttered bread on top. Stuff it in your cake hole.

Note: the buttered sides faces in.

Has to be stokes sauce, not cheap.... But yummy. Brown sauce made with date purée.

That's just wrong. Are you serious? F****** date puree???

Anyway, the vinegary taste of the brown sauce complements the sweet egg yolk perfectly IMO. Brown/Red.....Men/Boys

How much does it cost to Oldham?
For Eggs on their own always Tommy Sauce.
However if it's Eggs and Bacon or Sausage then it's brown.

Nonononono. No.

Egg-Tabasco.
Egg + Sausage - Brown.
Egg + Bacon- Tomato.
Egg- Sausage + Bacon- Tomato.

This is true.

This thread is a sad indictment of the state of British culinary knowledge.
It should be taught as part of the national curriculum that egg butties are to be served with tomato ketchup and bacon butties with HP sauce.
