Brum to Lands End

Next year I was thinking of doing LEJOG or vice versa but came up with an idea last night to cycle from Home to Lands End.

Few questions to ask.
Is it best to use a Racer or Tourer?
What month is best?
Routes?
Solo or not?

It's about 300 miles. Could be anything from two to four or even five days, depending whether you want to tour or ride fast. Do you want a direct route or a scenic route? CTC might be able to help with routes, if you're a member.

Possibly. Was planning to do LeJoG with a couple of mates next year, but don't think I'll have the time.

Thats the same as me thats why i have decided to do this way think a tour would be good doing it over 5 or 6 days as i like to take the scenary and places in.

Routes: pick your own
Roadie or tourer: Light Tourer
Solo or not: do you have a good friend that you could be in the company of for 24 hrs a day for 6 days and not kill them? If you do, go with them. If not, do it solo.
Month: It's a lottery. Just take waterproofs. If you go Brum - LEJOG in anything other than March/April you're like to have a headwind.
