Friday 8th & Friday 15th
Channel 5
20:00 - 21:00

It could be of interest to quite a few of you?
It's the same presenter who did the 'Greatest Bridges' series

http://www.channel5.com/show/brunel-the-man-who-built-britain/

Digressing slightly, in terms of broadcaster (& age of transmission)
Sadly, though, I doubt it'll have scene like Jeremy Clarkson crossing the Avon Gorge, in a basket, as he did in the 'Greatest Briton' poll/series a few years ago
(at about 15:50 - 18:00, & he gets scared in the middle........ as would I!)

And, the Maidenhead Bridge; 27:15 - 29:30
(Worlds widest, flattest, bridge arch)

Was it in this, or another Brunel programme/tribute, where Ron Cook convincingly played IK?
(he may be better known, for his role as Parker, in the live-action version of 'Thunderbirds'?)

No it wasn't. I've checked, it was 'Seven Wonders Of The Industrial World'
(I have the book)

Scarily similar

Here for rides.
Every time I travel on a broad guage atmospheric railway I remember what a brilliant engineer he was.
VHS vs Betamax innit?

As @Lullabelle I am watching it. I also checked wickapedia.....true genius (thats Brunel...not Lullabelle)
I am not an engineer (bit fick really) but nearly 200 years after he "did it" i still cant fathom how he engineered those amazing structures.
