If I recall well, they are bit heavier than your average bike tipping the scales at 16kg or more!

Thanks for the reply.

Yes this is true, they weight 2kg more than Carrera (14.2 compared to 16.5 on average).
I was wondering if there are any other pros/cons ? I tried them recently and felt good - especially loved the gel saddle, however, not sure about gears technology, tyres, etc!

Any help would be much appreciated

Hey gina, could you maybe give us some more info on what you'll be using the bike for? Weekend rides with family, commuting etc? Also is it hilly where you are? And do you have access to a bike to work scheme? What is your budget?

Hopefully we can help more then.

Hey, thanks for the replies!

I will start with weekend rides, short distance commuting and a long term plan to join a cycling club! It will be a combination of roads and (Richmond) park.
Unfortunately my employer is not registered - but trying to push for it...that's why I have a small budget of 300-350£.

BTWIN bikes are decent but that looks like it might be pretty hard work around the hills in Richmond park (heck they are hard work on a roadbike)

Perhaps you could look at getting something like a Specialized Vita from Evans, perhaps on 0% finance? A fast hybrid that will take a rack and mudguards will be better for club riding etc too, unless you are already planning to get a roadbike in the spring for example ;)

This one is reduced to £360 http://www.evanscycles.com/products/specialized/vita-2013-womens-hybrid-bike-ec030756

or going up the range http://www.evanscycles.com/products/specialized/vita-sport-2013-womens-hybrid-bike-ec042540

Evans are really good for test rides, the guys in Wimbledon are accommodating and they have a good range

i'd second vickster and recommend visiting evans; i don't know what their in-house range is like (pinnacle) but the guys in birmingham are great. knowledgeable without being cocky and will give you great advice.
