Budget in-ear headphones

Can you add £5 to the budget? I've had a pair of these for about four years. They have even survived being dropped into a glass of beer, and after rinsing in cold water, still perform very well.

Someone beat me to it. ^ These blow the backside off anything at that price range. Mine have been through the wash and had some abuse but still going strong. The cables are well wrapped so *touch wood* not had any problems with loss of sound like I have with other decent brands.

Don't be disapointed when you first listen to them as I found they really came alive after leaving them playing a medium volume for 24 hours to loosen up.

I will replace them with the same or a higher model when the time comes.

I have some Tao-Tronic Wireless Earphones off Amazon, ratings seemed too good to be true, but i can confirm i have used them for 5 months, battery life last for 6-8 hours before a quick half hour charge. Numerous earpieces to fit your lug-holes. £20 bargain!!

+1 had these for a year and still good.

+1 on the sound magic, although I found the e10's a little fragile. The really budget es18 is nearly as good a sound but I've found them more robust.
Unfortunately they're only available in-store at - guess where? - Richer sounds

Sennheiser + 1 for in ear. They come with different sized buds. I have a nifty little set with an in-line control and mic. Less than £30. Handy at work and they fit under my ear defenders and chainsaw lid.

The drivers are huge so they aren't that good if you want to lie down on the pillow with them, or wear them inside a crash helmet, but they are the best sound I have had from this sort of price range. They have been screwed up 100's of times in my bag and are still perfect. I've had Senheisers, Panasonic, unbranded before and none of them were a patch on these in terms of sound quality or build quality.

Some reviewers have said they are too Bassey. I don't find that, but there is usually the option to turn the Bass down on one's device anyway.

I ordered http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JVC-HA-FX...NES-IPHONE-IPAD-IPOD-SMARTPHONES/253122723444 (using the header link but I don't know if it'll count because I'm not a new user) not minding too much if they turned out to be fakes because I would probably end up spending that much on new minor-brand ones with a case after trashing another pair, but they've arrived and seem to be genuine, branded JVC XX unlike the pictures on that listing. Good sound. Let's see how they last.

^^ I would add that I just looked up the order from my account, and I've had them for 5 years. Still going strong.
