The bottom was so bruised and ragged the stitches probably wouldn't hold and cause more damage than good. That's what they told me anyway!

When my foot slipped off my pedal a few days ago, resulting in me cracking my ankle, I said, "My goodness, what a frightfully unfortunate mishap, my ankle hurts somewhat now". I must admit that perhaps the volume of my voice was a tad louder than normal.
