Hi I'm quite new to building bikes, but I'm willing to try and learn while trying!
Anyway I'm trying to build a road bike with flat bars for my wife from an old frame I had kicking around.
What I need to know is, the frame has Shimano Ultegra 6700 Road Brake Calipers which work well with the road bike shifters. But she doesn't like the drop bars so I'm looking into straight bar with quick shift gear levers combine with brake levers. Will Shimano Altus ST EF51 EZ Fire Plus STI 7 Speed Set work with the caliper brakes?
Thanks Tony

The pull ratio will be wrong but it may well tame the 'brick wall' effect of those calipers, I used a similar set of 105 calipers with old style (Weinmann) race levers and more than one finger on the levers was enough to lock either wheel  not nice but I wasn't using them 'from the hoods' like people do nowadays.
