Don't know if they are more money but I like the idea of new ovens I've seen where the door once open goes underneath the oven out of the way & you're not stretching over the door to get something out. Although whether in practise they are better I don't know.

The slide away door on the ovens is great.

I like it as a feature, less likely to burn yourself reaching across a hot door, especially where the oven is installed at eye level.

Barnet,
Myself and Mrs P have a Bosch double oven and an AEG induction hob. Very good and easy to clean.

We got a Beko double oven when the kitchen was done about five years ago, it's on it's third heating element for the fan oven, but Beko won't admit there's anything wrong with it.

Although they would be quite happy to charge me for sending an engineer out to fit a new element, £20 from espares and I can do it myself.

We've had a Smeg since 1998. The extruded aluminium handle on the main oven door spontaneously cracked after a month or so. A fantastic example of Italian engineering! I've replaced a couple of oven elements, the internal fan, and disconnected the defunct timer module...all with bootleg parts from eBay. The door seals are a bit droopy, but what the Hell, it goes.

It's been a lot of fun.

Always had gas ovens before and thought they would give the best results after poor experience of old fashioned electric fan ovens that seemed to produce a lot of smoke, noise and heat but not great cooking results.
Had a new kitchen installed early in 2013 and the company that did this were big on Neff so we went along with it. I have to admit, I have been blown away by the Neff ovens, quiet, clean, great results and touch wood, reliable. One, possibly both have needed new bulbs (they are oven specific so I bought a couple as spares via mail order) but otherwise haven't missed a beat despite regular use.

Hob is a big Neff induction job. Again after years of swearing by a good gas hob the induction thing has won me over completely, can't think of a single downside to a good induction system other than you might need new pans that are induction compatible.

The slide away door on the ovens is great.

We've got the slide n hide, the handle came loose on one of them and in a supreme god-like botch I manage to take the door off, dismantle it, fix the handle and get it all back together again.
