Bumpy Wheel

Well well, I have fixed the pucture, went on a short ride (10m) didnt notice anything odd straight away and definitely didnt hit any big holes, but at the end of the ride my back wheel (where I had a puncture) is bumpy.
What can it be?? If I had damaged the wheel when I got a puncture I would have noticed straight away surely...or wasnt I paying attention and didnt notice??? But the bump now is too big not to notice, is like riding on a flat!

NB: This may be a stupid question (again) sorry I have a handicap about fixing bike issues!

Check tyre is seated at the valve section of the rim.Push the valve up into the rim this alows the tyre seat properly on the rim.

I had exactly the same thing yesterday.I only spotted the issue when I got home. The fix was exactly as described above. Deflate tube reseat and inflate.
