That film was mostly about what a miserable failure machismo really is.

I thought it was an infomercial funded by the Llanelli Tourist Board :whistle:

Not being a film buff i can't say i remember his film roles that much. I suppose Deliverance springs to mind,but even then he seemed to play a slight comedy role in it. One of my neighbours husband looks like Bert Reynolds did in his last year or so. Long grey hair,black bushy eyebrows and that vacant expression. I only said to myself the other day 'Heck,he looks like Burt Reynolds does now'. What a coincidence that was!

Never seen Deliverance,

He has sadly died aged 82. One of a kind. Always remember him for his performance in Deliverance.
Later on in his career, it was interesting that in 'Hooper', during a scene at Hoopers house, where they were watching old stunt footage, that one segment was of the rapids canoe from 'Deliverance'
A fun film!!!

Think it had the longest continuous stunt, then filmed, at the end

He outlasted his big co-stars from that
Jerry Reed died in 2008 (possibly better known for his amazing guitar playing, & for writing 'A Thing Called Love' & 'Guitar Man'.... and playing lead guitar on Presley cover of it!)
Pat McCormick (Big Enos)
Jackie Gleason (Buford)

Paul Williams is still alive (Little Enos) who was a prolific songwriter!!

Even Gas Monkey got involved;
