Ha ha, definitely not! Loads of cheapo shoes, burgers, Chinese-made jeans and crap though. It's not that big. Your best bet would be to stroll 10 minutes down the A58 Rochdale Road (along Angouleme Way, south of the market and past the new Vue cinema bearing right sort of direction) and find Leisure Lakes, which is above Iceland and is a massive Aladdin's cave of bike goodies.

Look out for Katsouris on the edge of the covered market, a busy deli serving good sandwiches and cakes.

If you're looking for bargains you'd do better to carry on up the M66 then turn right on the M65 towards Colne and Nelson. At the end of the motorway you'll find Boundary Mill Stores where you can pick up some quality stuff at cheap prices. There is a boutique bike shop not far from there but they only have small stock. Alternatively there's a great new bike shop and cafe called Green Jersey in Clitheroe, which also has an excellent market.
