Easy to say that when your not there, but having a bus do this to you is not right

I normally have them dive in at the nearest bus stop.Had a go at a bendy bus driver the other week as he cut in and after that he was as good as gold.

Must be crap driving those things though.

I think you are being a tad harsh and it looks a lot worse then it actually is. Moving off at slow speed you knew he was there as he did you. I wouldn't say he forced you out the way.

Oh come on. He doesn't indicate, and simply changes from his offside lane into my lane pushing me out the way, despite him obviously knowing I was there next to him. Explain how he would still pass his PCV if he did that during his test.

I can sympathise with with the guy on the bike.I am a bus driver and also a cyclist.I know for a fact that most bus drivers hate cyclists.I'm definatly the exception,i give cyclists plenty of space and most of all time and patience as i know only too well what it's like out there on the bike.

To be fair, almost all the bus drivers on my route are really excellent. I'm highly appreciative of the good driving I see on every commute. This guy is by far the exception to the norm. The rest are so good that I've taken choco and letters of thanks in the past. Mind you the first time I did that, the manager was floored.

I didn't need to change my line because I chose to brake instead, or rather to not accelerate as I would normally. If I'd ridden as I normally would, I would have been in front of his rear wheels.

I get this kind of overtake quite regularly, I think a lot of drivers just dont appreciate how fast a cyclist can be travelling, that combined with not checking mirrors properly and impatience causes them to pull back into the left before they should.
Just another reason you need your wits about you at all times
