I have never understood why taxis are allowed in bus lanes. Why does it differ from the passenger/s being their own vehicle?

A lot of councils don't consider private hire to be a "taxi".

I work odd shifts, some times I can go in the bus lane near my workplace, other times I cannot. I've had 3 fines in the past 12 months, each time I've realised within seconds and moved out, I doubt the car travelled 100m in the bus lane in total and I only use the bleedin thing when it's cold and wet too.

When you realise. You know you're going to get fined.

I just found one in Walthamstow while exploring new backstreet routes when returning from the dentist.. ...No right turn between 8am and 930am which of course I understand why...At least I think so...
