Firstly, I can't see any obvious section to post this.
1. I am in the North West
2. There were approx 20 of them close to each other.

My 1st thought was Gatekeeoer/Hedge brown but they are mainly down south.

Really. Quite pleased about that
Thanks.

Daft question but how do I right click the photo ?

You may be using a phone. If so, go to gallery, choose picture, click on the share icon, click google, search image. (Android phone)
If on PC or laptop, right click on picture with mouse or pad and select search image

Brilliant. I had no idea you could do that.
Even my grandson who is quite computer savvy had no idea.
Thanks

Our next door neighbour his Buddleia which is about 10ft tall is awash with beautiful butterflies it's a sight to see. Then they rest on my shed roof and fence wings wide open.
This is the reason why I planted one (white flowers) in my front garden.
I know it will get really tall, but it had butterflies already when it was in its pot!
I phantom planted another Buddleia in the common field, but the council eradicated it
