Some of you will remember Magnum PI:

He was found dumped for the refuse collection, tyres deflated, chain off, in a sorry state poor thing.
I adopted him, gave him a bit of tlc - new tyres, new chain, adjusted the gears and brakes.
We had a few adventures together.
One day, on riding back home, my next door neighbor told me Magnum used to be his: he never managed to get him working properly, so he got himself a new bike.
Now the new bike wasn't working either - he bought it from Halfords, could not get them to fix it, needs to commute 6 miles twice a day.
Of course I gave him Magnum back

He had back luck with his bikes: one stolen, new one not fit for purpose, another one in a crash.
Magnum seems to resist the tide of bad luck, he was riding him the other day

Neighbor did not ask for Magnum back
To be fair, I've got 3 working bikes already, Magnum's top tube is a bit too high for me , neighbor commutes twice a day to his work, there are no direct buses from our area.
