Hi all. I'm new to the forum. I haven't ridden a bike in years but I'm thinking of buying a road bike for leisure riding.
I can see the attraction of buying under the Cycle to Work scheme - it gives an up to 42% discount on the Evans website calculator. I understand you get a voucher and pay it off over a year.
If I get a cheapish bike (say £350 rrp) and decide after a year I want a better bike, can I get another C2W scheme bike? It would seem a bit of a scam if you can tbh, because people would constantly get new bikes and sell them on, wouldn't they?
This brings me to my next question. Any comments on Fuji bikes? They don't seem to have many reviews but I have seen a couple of cheap ones for sale on Gumtree over the last few months and wondered if they would be a good starter road bike. I could then use the C2W scheme if I decided to upgrade.
I am not actually planning to cycle to work initially as I am almost certain to be hit by a car within a week. I assume this isn't a problem on the C2W scheme.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts you might have. I did a forum search on the scheme and Fuji bikes, but didn't find much info.
