Quick question, approximately how long should I expect for the Paris - Dieppe stage?
I could leave Paris Saturday Morning OR early afternoon and have the 8pm boat on Sunday booked from Dieppe you see..I have read that there is a farmers market on the weekends in Dieppe so would like to catch some of it, not sure about times that this would be going on till tho...?

You'll probably be very close to Paris on the 2nd night, an easy 3rd day.
Dieppe will be an easy 2 day ride.. every day is easy except that Dover day.

Hi Ryan,

How did the brighton to Dover route go??
I am doing Brighton to Folkestone in September so wanted some advice now that you have done it!
How long did it take? Did you stay on the coast road (A259) most of the way?

Thanks!

It rained all day long but even so it was not a problem really, stayed off the coast road (headed to Lewes then direct to Dover) as it was a windy day..the ride was quite pleasant, quite rural mainly, about 82 mile to Dover and I left at 7am n arrived about 5pm ish. Camped on some muddy bank just outside dover and went into find a weatherspoons, £2 lagers were not a bad end to the day!

Hi Think tortoise rather than hare and you'll enjoy it more. 100 kms a day is a realistic touring target for most people.
Viamichelin http://www.viamichelin.co.uk/ is great for planning bike friendly routes, often offering two or even three alternatives. Have fun.Enjoy!

Glad you said that. That was what I was thinking without having done it before. So feel happier now I've read this.

I'm doing that route next week. 129 miles, so if you can do 47 miles in an afternoon that should be do-able in two days (I'm a lazy bastard so am doing it in three).
