I built an Airfix version as a kid, nowhere near as big as that though :okay:

I did in the 70's. This one is by Dragon & stands about five feet tall. It does come apart in stages, plus there is a wee lunar module going in the transparent bit. Fiddly to get straight black lines on some of the body since its ridged...masking tape didn't sit well, got a bit of paint bleed. I should have it done by July (the photo is several weeks old). Now...where can I display it??.

Mine met the same fate as all my Airfix models, blown to smithereens when I decided airguns were the next cool toy

Well, the monster Saturn 5 is done and on display. I may get a glass case for it, a bit paranoid about knocking it over!.

Suppose you knock the glass case!

Looks nice though. How about some rigging arms, as though it were on the launch pad, holding it in place.

You can get a printed background for an IKEA case that's the launch tower. Unfortunately, IKEA have discontinued it and the replacement is about 3cm too short!. It may fit in if I take the circular base off but it has a hole in it that a metal support rod sits in that extends up through the central engine part into the first stage to stabilise it. I'm off to IKEA Saturday, must remember to take the tape measure!.
