Tsk, surely all Police Stations should be on "Lettsby Avenue".
Good God, much too slow.

There's a CLINT LANE in Navenby, Lincolnshire. On several occasions when I've passed that way, I've noticed that someone has used black paint to join two letters together.........

I never fail to be amused by "Bellenden Road" in Southwark. This probably makes me a bit of a child, but I don't care!...
I know it well...

I've always had a passion for Jefferies Passage in Guildford.

I once had a summer job when at university working in an olde sweet shop based there. I mainly took care of filling up the gift boxes of traditional confectionery. On my CV I put that I had experience of packing fudge up Jefferies Passage.

Of course there was the time next summer when I had a job working as a delivery boy for a pub furniture supply company. I was delivering some raised bar seating to a hostillary at the forementioned location but the tail lift on the back of the truck was faulty and the high chairs came crashing down, spilling out onto the pavement and causing indentations to the fine wooden legs of the goods.
Imagine my embarrassment when I had to telephone my boss to say that I had "dented some stools up Jefferies Passage."

Apparently, a street around the corner from where I used to live was called Fanny Bush Lane, after a local woman. The council changed it to something innocuous after a tabloid newspaper had some fun with it. Everyone thought that was a bad decision.
