Very wet ride into work this morning. Was cycling along Cobden Bridge on my way into Riverside Park, heading north. So I was behind this chap on a bike in the cycle lane approaching the traffic lights (there is a cycle lane in both directions nowadays).
Chap in front manages to get from the cycle lane onto the footway to continue into the park by going over what I thought was a drop kerb. Anyhoo silly me follows the chap, bike wheel meets low kerb and says no.
Bike falls to the ground, I fortunately stay upright and run into the fence with quite a lot of momentum!Ran back to pull bike out the road and got quickly into the park to hide my shame from the queue of motorists!
No real harm done, bruised wrist. Am I allowed to complain to the council to get a decent junction built now?
