Took a drop kerb too sharp and went down like a sack of spuds.
Helmeted head hit the tarmac (dent now in helmet). Also hurt wrist, hip, shoulder and took a chunk out of my knee.
Suffering a bit now with aches and pains, but not as much as my pride was at the time (I went down right in front of a postman). Must say I felt like a right twazzock. He though, was quite helpful and held my bike while I inspected myself.

Bike thankfully is fine; bit of a graze on the right shifter but I can live with that. It could have been much worse (especially since the bike is not yet one month old).

It was quite surreal - I knew that I was approaching the kerb too sharp a split second before I took it. Perhaps my bracing myself in anticipation saved me from more injury. You live and learn.

Ouch - I think some of these small knocks hurt more than getting twatted by a car at 30 mph, like happened to me last night.....

Bummer dude, hope it's not too bad with the bruising.

A couple of years ago I went around a wet corner too fast and came off on boxing day. Luckily I was on the 'bent, so had less than a foot to fall. Not two weeks later and I was at the very same corner, much slower, only to hear a thud, scrraaaaaaaape behind me. I look back, and there's an off-duty postie on the deck. He was chuffed, as a number of people stopped to check he was OK, including me. Just as many people stopped for my off two weeks earlier, which added further to the dent in my ego, LOL!
