Cameras on HGV's ?

This morning I was stopped behind a HGV (it was a bit dirt ) but it was well marked with cyclists and peds crossed and a large 'no entry' sign on the left and a 'white/ blue arrow on the right'. It also had what looked like a camera smack bang in the middle?

for reversing isn't it?

Yes, sounds like a camera to aid reversing. A monitor will be in the cab to relay the images.

Some are fitted with the cameras to aid in the event of any incident.
