I saw the thread title and assumed it was an April Fool.

I then read this sentence :-

When it comes to Tri and TT bikes, U Brakes are traditionally more of a necessity than a luxury, which usually has to do with tucking the brake up under or behind parts of the frame or fork.

and totally misread the word in red, probably as a result of the bike stickers thread.

I'll grow up one of these days...

I was hoping that they'd gone full circle and re-introduced something along the lines of their old-fashioned nuovo record 'piccolo' calipers. Things of beauty imo and I lusted after a set in the early eighties when I couldn't afford them. Campag brakes are generally gorgeous looking affairs, but as much as I bet these are good at stopping your bike, I give these the thumbs-down aesthetically-wise.

It's not an April Fool is it ?

Just got a pair of these Delta's - the only problem is they are too nice to put on the bike.

Can't say that about the latest line.

The shifters were on an American site about 10 days ago. They have gone straight to the top of my shopping list

The brakes are Tektro OEMs - not much point investing time and effort into developing something which can't be improved over current offerings.

Delta's were fantastic items of beauty, shame they don't stop you !

Are Delta brakes the ones that look really cool but don't actually give any deceleration whatsoever?

I remember when I was about 10 I had a mountain bike with the old-style top-pull brakes which were utterly shite. I discovered they were shite when I had just been given the bike, I rode furiously along my Aunt's driveway (I wasn't allowed out on the road without an adult), pulled on the brakes, not a lot happened, and I ended up mounting the door-sill, entering the kitchen, taking out the dog's water bowl, the tea trolley (complete with a pot of tea and a heavily-loaded cake stand), and ended up slamming into the Aga. I timed my entrance just perfectly to coincide with the adults sitting down and just about to enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake. After my Mother had made sure I was physically OK, she was livid ...
