This used to be the thread of hot dispute some years back, but it rarely now if ever rears its head.
Why?
Do we no longer care or has SRAM queered the pitch?
Could it be that Helmet debates have superceeded groupset partiality?
I wanna know.

Anyhow, Shimano ...

Neither, I do most of my riding on fixed, when I do use gears the bikes got SRAM, I've ridden Shimano but not Campag, I prefer SRAM over Shimano but at some time I will have to try Campag.

Shimano

I have both but Shimano wins for me. I've used Shimano from 105 to DA and Alivio to XTR and always liked it's performance

In contrast I've only ever used Campag Veloce, (currently have it on my commuter), but I've never liked the thumb shifters, the shift lever action or the agricultural clunky feel TBH

FWIW I've never used SRAM, (apart from a SRAM Red cassette).

Still loving the campag. the wife has 105 on her bike, i have ridden it a few times to set it up, campag just feels a bit tighter and more positve.

I have one fixed, one pure Campag, one Shimergo (Campag shifters, Shimano mechs)
Tried Shimano shifters once or twice, can't say I like them particularly. Having a brake lever that goes side-toside just seems insecure to me.

I'm indifferent - I'll use anything that works. It's all machinery, made by companies looking to make money. How the whole thing got so tribal is a bit of a mystery to me.

Absolutely. I have Campag on most of my bikes but Shimano on my TT machine. Can't say that there's any significant difference. The differences I notice are all down to the bikes' geometry and weight (oh, and tyres).
