Sorry to bother you nice peeps again, I am about to order my Ribble and I am torn between the above. My head says the Zonda but my heart says Scirocco, I love the look and 35 rim on them but I know from reviews that the Zonda are top notch but are £100 more expensive... PLEASE HELP....

Your head will not let you rest whichever choice you make, if you go with the Scirocco wheels you'll have moments of 'I could've gone 1mph faster with those other wheels' , 'I wonder what this hill would be like with those other wheels' and moments of 'I'm glad I didn't spend all that money on wheels now it's cold and wintery and I need those heavy puncture proof tyres on'

Zondas are nice though.

Which Frame and groupset did you go for?

I went for the R872 with Campagnolo Centaur Black/Red with Ergopowers Powershifts, very odd as the latter was not available on bike builder then when I tried on Specials they were there, so I went back and they appeared.

Very nice! Heard a lot of good things about that frame.

I was torn between that and the Sportive, Evo Naked and the R872. I did bike builder at work around 1600 yesterday and again at home around 1800 and the price has dropped by about £100 and could add the Ergo's for a tenner whereas I had not seen them on bike builder section before which is odd. Ordered my road helmet, shoes and top, now I just need the bike, pedals and Ribble to process it.

I've got the New Sportive Racing. Saw a R872 in the flesh recently and it looks a lot better than it does on Ribbles website there's a lot of design details that you don't notice in the photo's. I went for Veloce groupset and Zonda wheels apart from one broken rear spoke had no problems. Had the bike about a year and 2000 miles still happy with it. Looking forward to the pics.
