....so let's get this right, someone on the internet (you don't know) asked you to take a parcel (that you don't know what's in it) to someone (that you don't know)

I am sure it is completely innocent.

But it is just such a scenario that gets people into trouble in Thailand.

Just waiting for Jason Statham to reply ;)

Funnily enough, that was my first reaction as well.

Yes, OK, OK, I already said I posted it without thinking too much about the implications. It was completely innocent, you're right to be suspicious, I made a mistake, request withdrawn. ;)

A PM or two might have been better than public ridicule but... hey, whatever!

No need to keep posting the same comments.

To those who proffered helpful suggestions thank you very much, I've gone with senditnow. xx(

Thread closed mods... please!

This is too late to be of use to Debian, but as a Royal Mail employee, I thought the quoted postage rates did seem a tad high.

The only way you could pay £22 for a 4kg packet is to send it Special Delivery, the guaranteed next-day service. Ordinary 1st class mail is only £8.22 and parcel rate is £7.06.

Thanks Beardie.

The £22 was SD only because I needed £300 of compensation cover. The cheaper rates only gave £39 of cover.
