Oh dear...

Good job drivers don't take a similar dislike to all cyclists just beca...blah, blah

Hey - I want to kill drivers and cyclists too, but that's another thread.

Ive got two cats and my garden is mayhem free (thanks to the two jack russels - now thats proper mayhem:smile: )

Yes, I didn't have a problem when I owned cats, they trash other people's gardens unfortunately...(typed the crafty fox)

Two weeks ago I planted some lovely flowers with my daughter, it was you're standard "Quality Time With Child" and I felt quite happy having brightened up the gardens too.

Not long after I discovered a plant dug up. Then a flower pot emptied. Now, twice, a flowerbed tunnelled into.

I think it's foxes, and I want to kill them for their crimes.

Can I lay traps for foxes?

I'm interested in bear trap styles, or anything specifically suited to foxes but I don't mind losing a squirrel or two in the process of obtaining retribution.

Is this a serious question or a bit of a wind up?

Just a thought, do you really think it a good idea to teach your daughter that the correct response to "vandalism" is sadistic revenge, violence and capital punishment?

I'm hoping to get up early and hide the dismembered corpses before she sees them. Problem solved?

Or, why not create a wildlife haven in your garden, encouraging foxes, birds and other animals so that you and your daughter can share in the the experience and enjoyment of watching wild animals without having to leave home.

Hmm, dangerously close to a serious reply.

We have magpies, wood peckers, blackbirds, squirrels, tree bumblebees, off the top of my head. What could we add to the mix that eats foxes and doesn't dig up flowers?

I may just bury a steel plate under the spot they keep digging out.

To teach a child not to squash a caterpillar is as valuable to the child as it is to the caterpillar.

Same can be said about foxes. You seriously gonna trap a fox, cause all that pain and suffering for a few plants when you haven't even got proof the fox did it? I bet your child would rather see a fox than a plant anyway.

It is legal to snare a fox. I have not checked if only certain people are allowed to, ie game keepers and farmers. I know game keepers do.

If it wasn't a fox then he won't catch it.

Obviously never had cabbage whites lay their eggs on your Brassicas followed by the subsequent caterpillars eating the entire brassicas. Bad Basra*ds!!!!

The owners of chickens may consider that to be inconsiderate behaviour. You don't have to kill them but you definitely should not encourage them. The only way to do so is to feed them. Hardly responsible behaviour.
