Ha! I had to go to a meeting today at some council office. About an hour in came a message over the tanoy:
DING DONG "Attention please, there are two bicycles....." at this point the room erupted into laughter and I couldn't hear the rest of the message. But knowing that my bike was well locked up and not causing any inconvenience I stayed putt.
Returned to my bike about an hour later to find a note attached to it written in a childish hand, reading "In future please park your bike properly". I'll grant you, it was locked to railings as the bike racks were full, but it wasn't causing any obstruction.
I continued to unlock my bike, but was next approached by a short, bald security man. He was FURIOUS!!!
"Did you not hear my tanoy message?" he says. At which point I said I hadn't as everyone had laughed uproariously at him as soon as he started speaking. He gave me a telling off as I should not have parked at the railings.
Ho hum. I had a lovely ride home anyway! Though I remain very surprised that he disturbed the entire building with a message about my bike being attached to the railings.
