Is it just me or has the quality of driving (for the little that it was) suddenly deteriorated in tandem with the end of the summer holidays?

Had to swerve around a merc estate which pulled out into the road as I was going downhill and to top it off an Audi hit me on the arm.

I had to wear a long sleeve jersey both ways on the commute today, the bad news is that I get the impression that the plants seem to think the summer's over.

Feeling slightly smug over my well timed summer discounted purchases of leg/arm warmers and oversocks. But all in all, I would rather they stay in their packaging

I couldn't get over how cold it was this morning! Was thinking on my way to work that I should have put a long sleeve top on and had gloves that weren't fingerless (I do but they are winter gloves). Got to work to find that my PlanetX delivery had arrived, merino arm warmers and some wind proof gloves. Some thick merino socks as well but they are for when it gets a lot cooler.

It was 7degs this morning at 7.30am. A bot too nippy for a s/s jersey alone, so opted for the Montane Featherlite on top.
But had to take that off halfway into the commute as was getting a bit too warm.

I might just be needing that 800 weight sleeping bag by the end of next week at this rate. And I don't think my tomatoes are going to ripen up sadly
I have even dug out my warmer long fingered gloves today... leg warmer never went away and yesterday when I went out without the sleeves for my transformer top (arms zip off) I set a number of PB's coming home but I think that had more to do with trying to stay warm! But the heating hasn't gone back on, but that is because I don't like it rather than don't need it - about to climb back into bed to get warmer!
