Just put my head out the back door to see if it arm warmers or long sleeve jersey? Not as cold as yesterday so think arm warmers and a gilet. What happened to the summer? Boo

Talk of snow before the end of the month, on some weather forecasts.
It snowed last year when I was in Glencoe and that was around the 14th September.

Had to deal with a flat this morning so had my Quins hoody on.

By the time I was ready to go, had warmed up enough to go out in my T - Had lycra and three quarters on mind!

I was so fed up with the heat that I've actually enjoyed being a bit too chilly at times. I'm still in my short sleeved shirt and have only just taken to putting on a t-shirt underneath at night when I walk the dog. Mmmmmm, chilly.

As I'm very new to riding, and would like to carry on as the temp drops, any advice on clothes? I currently have a short sleeved jersey and shorts, added a long sleeve base layer couple of days ago. Will I be ok with these for the time being or should I be wearing something else? I am contemplating a ride to work in a month's time, should I have something hi-vis? Thanks

Aldi will be selling their winter gear at the end of September. You won't go far wrong with the windproof soft shell. The key is a variety of tops. At the minute a base and a long sleeve jersey will do. Once it gets nippy, the soft shell jerseys are great until it gets below freezing, when you might need additional tops if you are planning on continuing to ride through winter
