Can you be a cat person *and* a dog person?

Are you a dog person, a cat person, or both?

A bit unfair putting the animal down. It's got to poo somewhere, and has no concept of your yard.

True but if this was done after due process other owners would start to worry about where their pets do their business and I wouldn't be forever tramping it into the house in the dark.

If I dumped my poo in their yard or on their step they'd complain soon enough... Hang on, I now where they live :hello:!

I would consider myself an animal lover however I do prefer, and have had a few cats, in my life. Dogs are too dependent and I feel take my freedom away. I know that you can take them with you but that's not the point.

Our cats must be quite weird - if they're outside and need a poo, they come in and use the litter tray and then nip back outside. Must be too stupid to realise they can go outside if they really wanted to.

I prefer cats.. I don't mind dogs, but i find them too ' love me, love me, love me, love me' and a bit possessive. Plus i'm not keen on dog smell either. Cats, however, are much more independent: 'love me if you like, i don't care, i don't need you' so then when they do decide they like you, it seems more significant somehow. Plus cats make me laugh far more than dogs. I love the way they can be all dignified and elegant and stand offish, and then go nuts and completely silly over something like string or a ping pong ball.

I prefer cats as my perception of dogs is they are only choosing not to jump up and rip my throat out, cats are less threatening to me thats all.
