Trip to the bike shop at lunchtime methinks The woolen cheap DIY gloves that are hi-vis, comfy and did surprisingly well over Dec-Feb can't cope with today's temperature.

What an agonising ride...but there's a bonus to it, every cloud and all that..

It took my mind off the cold melting frost dripping down my neck from my iced-up helmet. Only gone and left it out on the garden table all night after I took it off when putting the bike in the shed..... Won't do THAT again in a hurry!

Strange, it felt colder today than some of the -6, -7 days earlier in the winter.
My fingers and toes were glad of a nice warm shower when i got in.

warm shower lucky sod! I was left sat on the door step waiting for my boss to open up late as usual :-(

That's the worst thing about cycling for me - the hanging around after a ride. That's when the "chilly bones" set in!

You're right, that was a very chilly (for the fingertips anyway) ride in this morning. Plenty of sheet ice around as well. Sun is out now and sky is blue and I'll be heading home in 1/2 hour

I went into town with the usual winter gear (t shirt, thin fleece and windproof shell) but was so warm that I spent the rest of the morning in just the t shirt and fleece. There's still a chill under some of the longer bridges but what a pleasant spring day it is.

I wore mitts today after loosing my winter gloves (since found) after 5 minutes of freezing and another five of numb, they went pink again and it felt great

daresay colder or wet would have been another story
