A friend asked me this as it was driving him mad recently. He's then passed it on to me, so I feel it's only fair to pass iron to him!

He remembers (as do I) and old TV ad from maybe ten years ago or so. The 'plot' of the advert was that a boy was going to see his girlfriend, and was riding a scooter to see her. As he rode it, a (good) song track was playing, and strange animated stuff was happening. The only strange animation that sticks in our head was that some 'people' on the side of the road with speakers for heads turned watching him drive by.

From that description he gave, I remember the ad, but can't remember what it was advertising, or what the music was. He says (and I tend to agree) that the track was a 'really cracking tune'. As I said, it's been bugging him and is now bugging me.

So, can anyone else remember this ad, what it was advertising and what the song was... or even better have a link to it somewhere online...

If this drives you mad too, I apologise in advance!

Dunno if it's the one you mean but i recall an advert that matches this description and the track used was "Fly on the wings of love" by XTM which was in the charts in 2003. Can't remember what the advert was for though.

Oh, confusing. Just checked out the video for that, and it's spot on the description of the advert - however the song doesn't ring any bells at all with me, and the video doesn't match my mental image either. It's so accurate to the description though. perhaps it's my memory at fault...

Ah, my mistake - it was the music video rather than an advert. I remembered the song as it's on one of the albums I've got but had forgotten where I'd seen the video.

This being the case I'd say I've probably just confused the issue rather than your memory being at fault. Sorry about that - I have a knack for causing trouble.
