    i would say because it's like a bird's skeleton. extremely light but extremely strong no doubt. .

    Do people clean bikes?

    Doesn't it just get clean if i ride in the rain? Have i missed something?

    exactly, never done that in my life barring moving parts, that's what the paint is for surely?
