Just looked at an egg and noticed it had an expiry date.Pretty sure we didn't have that in the olden days.

Perhaps it was on the box?

I used to sit in the Car with my Sister while my dad had a "swift" pint.

Radio Rentals or Rumbelows
In the Video Shop where I worked straight out of School I used to get nice bonus for getting a Video machine on rental, double if it was a TV and Video that was with Radio Rentals

Bit like the Phillips TV's earlier on all the machines were these, was forever getting Tapes trapped in them. Some really good stories from the Video Shop!

Duties at Youth Hostels. Mind you, they've been gone so long probably few people remember them even now. We greatly enjoyed a standoff once between the warden and a French bloke who was furious at being told to do domestics and said he would certainly do no such thing. The warden said he wouldn't get his card back unless he did. You just don't get fun like that anymore....*sigh*.

[QUOTE 5019047, member: 259"]Butterflies. There were clouds of frenchies* around in the fields and woods near where I lived when I was a nipper. Even twenty years ago I remember a day you couldn't get into the house without hundreds of swallowtails flying in at the same time.

early twenties trying to unclog those pens once they had dried up. Anything below 0.35mm and you were on a hiding to nothing. Then I discovered Pentel Caranomatics and life began to look up. Absolutely wonderful ink and great pens.

Here's one you may find surprising.

Saving a document/file into their own folder on the school network. Everything is now tablet or smart phone for them

To have a teacher throw a chalk-dust laden duster at you from 20 feet with perfect aim.
Mr Darley! If you were talking he would walk up behind you, place his ball point pen on your head and click it a couple of times. Probably half the reason I'm bald now - ink poisoning!!!
