Re: saddles. I have a Specialized Toupe on my Marin, which is plenty comfy as long as you wear proper cycling shorts or don't go too far!
As this is Marin's clone of the Bad Boy-style bike this pic will give you an idea of what yours would look like with smaller, fatter tyres. A guy at my work has the smaller wheeled Bad Boy, but he's off the bike at the mo' with a Bad Back, otherwise I'd get a pic of it for you.
