There’s a Trek dealer and a Cannondale dealer in the town. Value of the Canyon’s seems better to the untrained eye…

Those two will give a lifetime frame warranty, not sure about Canyon, plus dealer support.
Does the Canyon price include delivery and the 30% duty
There are plenty of other brands on sale in the U.K.
Take a look at Pearson for example?

Canyon include duty (should be zero but can’t be harsed to check the code) and VAT in the price. You do pay for delivery and unless they’ve changed it, the box 😡 but it’s not hidden. Warranty is 2+4 years (see the linky here for details) with all the usual get-out clauses. I’ve had dealings with their warranty and crash replacement service pre-Brexit and the experience was perfectly good, although Brexit inevitably makes life more difficult. Canyon will cover any incidental costs of return for 2 years and then it’s on your dollar for the next 4. Stating the obvious, but it’s possible to get crap service from a U.K. supplier,

Unless you’re going for something more bespoke or exotic, irrespective of supplier nearly all frames will be produced by contract in Taiwan and have one of the big two (three if Campag are still a thing ) groupsets, which are by-and-large excellent. Nothing wrong with any of that. They’re bikes, not Fabergé eggs or Patek Philippe watches.

As long as you do your due diligence and understand the trade offs you should be fine.
