Car advertising

What always amazes me when I see a car advert is the fact that you never see any other cars. They always a have a clear road all to themselves. The world of advertising is unreal, certainly not part of the world we actually live in.

The roads are always empty . I used to enjoy driving as a young lad, but I don't enjoy it 95% of the time now - nice on a run in 'darkest Wales' (not darkest Africa).

Anyway, you don't see the 'posh' Range Rovers advertised much on proper rough stuff - they would break down with an electronic gremlin.

Would you not look the same if you were being paid nicely to just drive a new car down the empty road.

And the ads are sexists too. Fine when it's a man or a woman, but when its a couple the female is always subservient to the male, who is driving while she looks up at him adoringly.

I don't even know for sure what "woke" means, and don't have any desire to find out. Car Wokeness is so alien to me it's gone beyond the event horizon into pure gobbledygook.
