..upon ('waiting' to) pull/ing out of a junction even though there is not anything coming !

;)

- does it do your 'ead in

Cause it irritates the hell outta me!

Aye. There seems to be many who stop at roundabouts and give ways before checking.

Then again, that's better than those who carry on without checking properly, which might do your head in very literally.

The ones I hate are those who wait at a junction for me to cycle past before merging.

Sometimes I wish they'd pull out so I can hit them and get two weeks off work... ;)

Had one yesterday, car in front pulls off at the lights I'm behind the second. Silly mare just sits there whilst I'm balancing in wait behind her; this is London get a bl00dy move on!

Would you rather they just had a quick look before pulling out, didn't see the cyclist/motorcyclist and then gave SMIDSY as the explanation? ;)

And what exactly is wrong with stopping and checking? Are you just being an impatient James Blunt, or is there more to this story that you're not telling us?

No not all - but theirs taking the mick, lets protect my back and detract from others continuance on the road - aspect.

It's not like I'm in an express rush but reality is exactly that !

Like ALWAYS these car drivers are ALWAYS sitting on their fat backsides so how can they not notice: are they falling asleep - most probably! that clear means clear - and then you go

Nothing. But I'm sure, like me, you sometimes get an impression that the more tentative double-and-triple checking motorists seem rather spaced out? It ain't when they're slowing down and being cautious that I get concerned, its when they're that cautious and tentative all the way down a road and at subsequent junctions too. Makes me think they're over-compensating.

Makes me think they are crap drivers, the mother in law is an advocate of this practice along with only changing to 2nd gear once she has reached 20 mph

The drivers that irritate me are the ones who sit there, dithering, wondering whether or not to pull out ... I clock them in plenty of time ... they're still dithering ... I'm getting closer ... still with the dithering ... then when I dangerously close ... they decide to pull out!

There's a difference to being sensible than annoying. If you're coming up to a roundabout, it isn't hard to look right, while moving to check if it's clear, while paying attention to anyone in front.

I know what the OP is saying...but I'd rather that than be knocked over
