Re Swinton.

I had them a few years ago, had the same take the money out for the next year business, cancelled and got refund but they pissed about with forwarding my no-claims cert (to the point where my new company was on the verge of cancelling), and virtually every day I was no longer a customer I got texts and emails. Well never use or recommend them again.

I have been with Swift Cover for 3 years on TPFT. I got my renewal a couple of weeks ago at £256. I have now changed to Marks and Sparks and got Comprehensive for £220.

Eh? Lucky you - I think I paid £36 at my last CTC renewal.

But yours will most likely be the full membership , mine is only third party and covers damage /injuries caused by me to others. I get nowt whereas you and your bike will be covered.

I used one of those price comparison sites, confused.com iirc. I ended up with Admiral, no idea how good the are as touchwood I've never needed to find out. I might try compare the market next time, my nephew loves meerkats ;)

My son aged 24, who has a chequered past with cars, 4 cars written of in three years, has now got 3 years no-claims. His insurer is Admiral. The last two years, when his renewal has come in he has gone online and looked at Elephant. He has then gone back to Admiral with the quote and they match Elephants. He has saved over £1200 the last two years. Elephant is an Admiral company. He still has to pay £600 for a Renault Clio Sport which I don't think with his record is that bad.

I think I saw something on watchdog about the AA licencing their name out to all and sundry but it not really being anything to do with them. You'll probably find that is the same.

Feel quite gutted that my insurance is £1850 annual if I pay all at once or £2250 if I spread the cost
