Sorry to disappoint you but I've not reported it to plod as 1) I have forgotten the reg having been fairly certain I'd got it on camera 2)the police round here are useless. I don't really want all the aggravation, humiliation and disappointment trying to report it to them without concrete evidence such as pics or video footage or several witnesses who can say "He's the one, him there. I'd never forget his ugly face."

No I am more disappointed not to be able so share with you his frightening behaviour and him leaning over his steering wheel middle finger of each hand extended agressively shouting you "F*ckin c**t! Get in front of my van!"

It was a plain silver 55 plate transit type van. The rest of the reg I cannot remember.

His time will come.

Had a nice ride today though.

Yesterday was a bummer of a day. There was lots of agression. Forgot to mention, amongst all the other things, another chunky tracky bottoms, hoodee thug type who started shouting foul mouth abuse at me as I cycled along a cycle path through the scummy housing area, telling me from a far that I should watch where I was riding "You f*ckin ****hole! From some 75 yds away and getting further away I shouted "What's that Mr. Care in the Community?" There was a pause then "You f*ckin c**t come 'ere!" and he's shouting this was with lots of young kids and mothers around as schools had just kicked them out. I saw lots of those types yesterday ignorant, knuckle dragging malevolent scum. A group of three tracky bottom hooded youngsters I'd say about 16-18, swearing, smoking roll ups with weed and drinking, walked past me as I was putting on another layer. One said "Look at his f*ckin tiny bike (The Brommie) What a pr1ck!" I ignored them as 1 against 3 is not wise. Who knows what range of household implements they could have been carrying?

I'm sick of Nulabour's Britain. It's definitely a broken country. [Mod edit - inappropriate sentence deleted here]

Horrible. Well done for keeping your composure - to be honest, I think I would have crapped myself. Those neanderthals scare the shoot out of me. Let's hope he dies in a pub brawl soon.

That’s correct.

Any need to descend to their level? Did it make you feel like a big man?

What a stupid and moronic statement.

What a stupid and moronic statement.

Those 2 statements seem to go very well together

Perhaps a case of answering your own question

Hippo ... does the nice nurse know your playing on the computer

That van driver that crankarm came up against could in theory be arrested by any member of the public at the time for breach of the peace. But practically it would be a bad idea.

My guess is that if there had been a police officer there, I am sure they probably would of nicked him under section 4 of the public order act. Section 4 carries a penalty of 6 months jail and/or up to a £5000 fine.

I've had a van swerve at me deliberately, on a quiet lane around Headcorn in Kent. I stuck my middle finger up and moved to the right, further into his path. The driver freaked out and wrenched the van left, nearly ending up in the ditch....

Almost 2 years ago I had a car swerve into me, nice empty country road, shiny BMW approaches me from the front, when its almost about to pass it suddenly swerved to my side of the road forcing me off the road and onto the grass embankment. Reason for it swerving? a big pile of horse muck on the road!

Just before Xmas last year, I had same with an ARGOS delivery vehicle on a country lane, just carried on coming at me, forced me off the road and up the embankment again, left me shaking and in the panic to clear the road I never even got the reg as it hurtled past me. I always carry a small dictaphone to make on the spot notes as I ride to log later and also for incidents like this if they ever happen but I never got chance apart from give it the finger as it vanished from view. I should have rung the police on that one and also ARGOS to report it as they would have known what driver was delivering in that area at the time but I never did.
