Errm unless I'm much mistaken the "carbon" pads will be for use on carbon rims. The normal "rubber" ones are suitable only for aluminium braking surfaces.

They would probably work fine. Some of the compounds on carbon-specific pads are a little different, but they would work perfectly well on regular rims.

For the record - regular 'rubber' pads will work on carbon rims too - the only issue is to avoid using the same set of pads on aluminium and carbon rims.

Sorry to pull this thread out of the grave but I'm looking for advise for the best carbon brake pads to use.

I want ones with low braking temp and at least wear to the rims, ow and maybe they should stop the bike too.

I've got Swissstop yellow (but branded as FFWD) for use with my race wheels. They've been fine, year and a half old, loads of life left and they brake well in the dry, brake less well in the wet, as in, they don't do much braking... Same as most carbon pad/wheel combos.

But then again, how often do you brake in a TT, lol!
