I recently picked up a second hand bike, and I struggled to remove the carbon seatpost. I eventually got it out, but it looked like the previous owner had used WD40, or GT85 on the seatpost.

I put it back in after wiping in all clean, and had another scary moment, trying to get it back out. What is the best thing to put on a carbon seatpost?

I am worried if I put it back in, that it wont come back out.

Thanks

Carbon assembly compound, It's essential, for several reasons.

^^^^^ This, but I let LBS fit mine.... as I hadn't got any or a torque wrench... and didn't want to crack it by extreme muppetness.....
