Carbon fork and Fork Cages

I would never buy a bike with a carbon fork. They fail instantly, and put you on the ground.

14,000 miles on my gravel bike, plus an estimated 5,000 more on two other bikes, all with carbon forks. Maybe ive been lucky

I must have been riding bikes with carbon forks for 20 years and so far no failures. The only time I have failures that were not due to crash damage, we’re on steel and titanium frames.

Ive ridden about 185,000 miles on carbon forks and they've never failed. Not even on my last bike which had the front wheel ripped out by a side impact from a car. It done 40,000 miles after that.

Most don't.

A large majority of bikes sold in the last 20 years or more have carbon forks, and you don't hear too many stories of them breaking outside of severe crashes where the bike has hit something solid.
