Did you leave that Tarmac next to the radiator?

I have decided with the help of a friend to build my own bike its going to be a keeper so i want to try and get it right without spending silly amounts of money
Starting point for me is the frame so just after your thoughts on what frames you have had experience with ie giant specialized trek colnago
Thanks

What do you actually want to do with the bike? What sort of mileage do you do on your rides? Hard to recommend a frame without knowing what sort of riding you do.

My rides generally include 3000 ft of climbing when we go hilly but when we go for a flatter route we tend to average high teens sometimes 20 on 50 to 75 milers

No, ive rode a cervelo s5//s3. Cannondale supersix evo, sworks tarmac/ venge, specialized allez, bmc impec, scott foil, scott cr1 and pinarello dogma to name a few, none danced up hills like the tarmac does hence why i chose it for hill riding, im off to ventoux for a charity ride on the tarmac too, second choice would be a supersix evo

Is one of those threads where everyone just recommends the bike they currently ride as the best one?
No , this is the thread where someone asks for peoples opinions and then after a few people have given their opinion someone comes along and says this is all based on peoples opinions ^_^

For what its worth to the op , I'm thinking about building a TT bike and will be considering Giant for the frame . The reasoning is they make everything in house . I'm not sure many other makes of bikes can claim that .
I think Trek and Miranda also make their own frames but that's just from looking online and not a fact from me . I also saw that Miranda are partners with Specialized and make frames for them but again that's just internet searching and not fact .
I would love to know who makes what for who but it seems to me the only company that don't hide the facts are Giant .
